XXImo Partners with CloudNation

CloudNation to Support Migration to AWS and Manage XXImo Infrastructure in AWS.

Utrecht, 14 May 2024 - XXImo, the European payment and mobility platform, is collaborating with CloudNation to migrate its IT infrastructure and mobility platform to Amazon Web Services (AWS). CloudNation is a leading cloud consultancy and AWS EMEA top migration partner. In a triangular collaboration with CloudNation and AWS, XXImo focuses on a future-proof way of working where scalability, efficiency, and security take precedence. The migration is scheduled to be officially completed by the end of June 2024.

XXImo chose AWS for its scalability, cost optimisation, and the platform's innovative capabilities. With CloudNation's wide range of cloud computing services, XXImo can shorten the time-to-market and optimise operational costs, making flexible mobility payments accessible to resellers across Europe. Additionally, XXImo becomes one of the first Visa card issuers in the EU to process payments entirely via AWS, thus complying with all new regulations and requirements. Once the migration is completed, CloudNation will continue to manage the infrastructure while XXImo takes on application management.

Proven Track Record in Migrations

The collaboration comprises various phases, including a thorough assessment of the existing infrastructure, developing the cloud environment, and actual migration. A portion of the AWS cloud platform is already in use. Through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), XXImo and CloudNation can deploy applications faster and more scalable.

Long-Term Collaboration

The migration is to be completed by the end of June of this year. CloudNation has been managing the platform since the end of March, providing 24/7 support. This includes proactive monitoring, incident response, and continuous system improvement as necessary throughout the migration. There are also plans to expand the collaboration. XXImo aims to optimise the AWS environment and develop new cloud-based applications in collaboration with CloudNation after the migration.
