Met regelgevende instanties over de hele wereld die controles aanscherpen en boetes verhogen, moeten bedrijven snel en doortastend aanpassingen doorvoeren. Dit blog biedt inzichten in aanstaande compliance vereisten voor functionarissen en juridische teams over hoe Microsoft Azure te benutten om bij te blijven met regelgevende vereisten terwijl de beveiliging wordt versterkt.   ## De toenemende druk van regelgeving ### Regelgeving in de FinTech- en Digital Native-sectoren Industrieën zoals FinTech behoren tot de meest gereguleerde sectoren, met complexe wetgeving zoals de GDPR (Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming), PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) en ISO 27001. Deze kaders stellen strikte regels voor privacy van gegevens, financiële transacties en informatiebeveiliging, met implicaties voor zowel operationele processen als strategische beslissingen. Zo eist de GDPR strenge gegevensbeschermingsmaatregelen, terwijl PCI-DSS normen vastlegt om kaarthouderinformatie te beveiligen. Veel organisaties zijn zich bewust van nieuwe regelgeving die eraan komt, maar werken niet actief aan de implementatie ervan. Vanaf januari 2025 moeten Europese bedrijven voldoen aan de Digital Operations Resilience Act (DORA). Niet alleen FinTechs, maar ook andere sectoren moeten voldoen aan NIS2. Dit omvat onder andere het zorgen dat rapportages op orde zijn. In het geval van een beveiligingsincident moet dit gedocumenteerd worden en moet duidelijk zijn hoe het is aangepakt en opgelost. Als een audit onthult dat een organisatie niet voldoet aan de regelgeving, zal een aanzienlijke boete volgen, waarbij het managementteam gezamenlijk verantwoordelijk wordt gehouden. Daarom is het cruciaal om aan de nieuwe veiligheidsnormen te voldoen. Dit is vooral belangrijk omdat cyberaanvallen dagelijkse kost zijn geworden. Een belangrijk punt is dat cloudbeveiliging steeds prominenter wordt in het proces van het opzetten van platformen, om onaangename verrassingen te voorkomen. ### Gevolgen van het niet naleven van de nieuwe regels De gevolgen van niet compliant zijn, zijn aanzienlijk. Alleen al de financiële boetes kunnen verlammend zijn, met boetes onder de GDPR die kunnen oplopen tot €20 miljoen of 4% van de wereldwijde omzet, afhankelijk van welk bedrag hoger is. Naast geldboetes kan het niet naleven de reputatie van een organisatie schaden en leiden tot verlies van klantvertrouwen. In gereguleerde industrieën is het handhaven van compliance net zozeer een kwestie van het opbouwen van klantvertrouwen als van het voldoen aan wettelijke eisen.   ## Microsoft Azure and compliance bij CloudNation ### Hoe CloudNation compliance van internationale normen faciliteert CloudNation kan organisaties helpen hun Azure-infrastructuur conform te maken. Defender for Cloud beoordeelt continu de relevante omgeving tegen de normen. Samen met de klant stellen we een backlog op om aanbevelingen van code tot cloud aan te pakken. De beste tools werken alleen als ze correct zijn geconfigureerd; als Microsoft Partner beschikt CloudNation over de kennis om Defender for Cloud in te stellen en optimaal gebruik te maken van al zijn mogelijkheden. ### De kracht van Microsoft Azure Microsoft Azure is een krachtige bondgenoot voor organisaties die het compliance landschap willen navigeren. Het compliance raamwerk van Azure ondersteunt meer dan 90 internationale certificeringen, waaronder GDPR, PCI-DSS en ISO 27001, die vooral relevant zijn voor sterk gereguleerde industrieën. Met ingebouwde functies die compliance vereenvoudigen, stelt Azure bedrijven in staat beveiligingscontroles te implementeren die aan de regelgevende verwachtingen voldoen of deze overtreffen. - GDPR: Azure biedt mogelijkheden voor gegevensverliespreventie (DLP), gegevensversleuteling en verbeterde auditing om GDPR-compliance te garanderen. - PCI-DSS: De PCI-DSS-conforme infrastructuur van Azure omvat netwerksegmentatie en strenge toegangscontroles. - ISO 27001: Het raamwerk van Azure is in lijn met ISO 27001 door gestructureerde risicobeoordelingen en uitgebreide beveiligingsdocumentatie.   ## Tools voor het automatiseren van compliance monitoring ### Belang van automatisering in compliance management Gezien de steeds veranderende aard van compliance vereisten, is automatisering essentieel geworden voor efficiënt compliance management. Handmatige compliance processen zijn niet alleen tijdrovend, maar ook foutgevoelig. Door deze tools te integreren, kunnen bedrijven compliance controles automatiseren en real-time waarschuwingen ontvangen wanneer er een potentieel probleem ontstaat. ### Best practices voor het implementeren van compliance automation Bij het implementeren van nalevingsautomatisering is het essentieel om tools te kiezen die aansluiten bij de organisatiedoelen en industriële vereisten.
